West Bromwich Albion to report Barcelona to FIFA over Louie Barry deal?

West Bromwich Albion are believed to be preparing to report Barcelona to the sport's governing body over the transfer of wonderkid Louie Barry.

West Bromwich Albion are believed to be preparing to report Barcelona to football's governing body over the transfer of wonderkid Louie Barry.

The Catalan giants were ordered to pay the statutory £235,000 set by FIFA for overseas clubs signing young players after they snapped up the 16-year-old wonderkid on a three year deal earlier this summer.

However, the Express & Star reports that as the Baggies are yet to receive a penny from Barcelona, they are planning to report them in order to get their money.

Barry, who joined West Brom at the age of six, was wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Juventus before Ernesto Valverde's men pounced to secure his signature.

The former England under-15 international was expected to play for the Spanish side's under-19 team this season but he will be unable to feature until the financial situation between the two clubs is resolved.

Slaven Bilic's men are also currently working with FIFA to chase up the £2.7m they are owed by Getafe for Cameroonian defender Allan Nyom.
