A report claims that sporting director Leonardo is no longer so confident that Neymar will pen a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain before the summer transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo is reportedly losing confidence in Neymar signing a contract extension at the Parc des Princes.

The Brazilian forward has been linked with a return to Barca as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his existing contract.

Neymar recently hinted that he is close to agreeing fresh terms, while Leonardo has also talked positively with regard to PSG's hopes of tying down the 29-year-old.

However, Marca reports that Leonardo's confidence is slowly fading as the opening of the transfer window edges nearer.

That comes in the wake of the PSG chief saying little when pressed on the subject by El Chiringuito on Saturday.

The French giants, who sit second in the Ligue 1 standings with three games to go, are also trying to persuade Kylian Mbappe to sign a new long-term deal.
