New Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman reportedly told Luis Suarez that he is not in his plans in a brutal phone call that lasted just sixty seconds.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman reportedly informed Luis Suarez of his desire to sell him in a phone call which lasted just sixty seconds.

Having recently been named as Quique Setien's successor in the Camp Nou dugout, Koeman is expected to oversee a significant overhaul in Catalonia this summer.

Suarez is one player who could be heading for the exit door, with the Uruguayan's contract at Camp Nou supposedly set to be terminated soon, and Suarez's former club Ajax as well as Paris Saint-Germain are rumoured to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

According to Sport, Suarez was left seething after Koeman made the striker aware of his imminent exit over the phone, and the ruthless call lasted no longer than a minute.

The report also suggests that Suarez is yet to speak to Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu over his future at the club, which has infuriated the former Liverpool man further.

Since arriving at Camp Nou in 2014, Suarez has gone on to register 198 goals in 283 games for the Catalan giants, including 21 in 36 outings in the most recent campaign.
