Report: Atletico Madrid eye AS Monaco's Thomas Lemar

A report claims that Atletico Madrid will launch a £30m bid for AS Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly launch a £30m bid for AS Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Manchester City and Bayern Munich, has scored seven times in 16 appearances for Monaco during the 2016-17 campaign.

It is understood that Monaco want to tie the Frenchman to a new long-term contract, but according to Squawka, Atletico are confident of enticing the attacker to the Vicente Calderon.

The same report claims that the interest has strengthened in recent weeks as Antoine Griezmann's future continues to be called into question, with Manchester United said to be preparing a big-money bid at the end of the season.

Two of Lemar's seven strikes this season have come during an impressive Champions League campaign for the Ligue 1 outfit.
