Hector Bellerin makes it clear that he is not interested in returning to Arsenal after his loan spell at Real Betis comes to an end next season.

Hector Bellerin has seemingly made it clear that he does not want to return to Arsenal at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old lost his place as Mikel Arteta's first-choice full-back during the second half of the 2020-21 campaign and signed for boyhood club Real Betis on loan for the current season.

Bellerin's deal with the La Liga side does not include an option to buy, but the right-back has affirmed that he is keen to remain in his homeland as Takehiro Tomiyasu nails down his spot in the Arsenal side.

When asked by El Desmarque if he could stay on at Betis for the 2022-23 season, Bellerin said: "I don't know, but I've always said if I didn't want to be here next season, I wouldn't have come from the beginning.

"There are many things to be decided but what I want to do is enjoy this season that I am here. And what has to happen will happen."

Bellerin has made 239 appearances and won three FA Cups during his time with Arsenal, where his contract is due to run until 2023.
