Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne on a free transfer next summer, rivalling Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for his signature.

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne, according to a report.

The winger is set to leave the Serie A side at the end of the season when his contract expires as they cannot afford to offer him a new deal.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked with a move for Insigne, who has been at Napoli since the age of 15.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea are also interested in signing the 30-year-old to add to their attacking options.

The report claims that Mason Mount's recent absence has led Thomas Tuchel to go in search of another creative option in the final third of the pitch.

The outlet adds that Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech could both depart Stamford Bridge to make room for Insigne.

The Italian international has made 405 appearances for Napoli, scoring 111 goals.
