Arsenal are reportedly unhappy with Barcelona over their public pursuit of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Camp Nou.

Arsenal officials are reportedly furious with Barcelona over their attempts to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Camp Nou this summer.

The Spanish champions are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements as extra cover for Luis Suarez, having resorted to bringing in Martin Braithwaite in an emergency deal from Leganes last month following long-term injuries to both Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez is understood to be Barcelona's top target, but the Catalan outfit have also reportedly identified Aubameyang as another option, while the Arsenal striker is thought to be keen on a move too.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal are unhappy with the persistent rumours linking their captain with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

However, questions over Aubameyang's future remain due to a lack of progress over contract negotiations, with the 30-year-old's current deal due to expire in 2021.

Arsenal are desperate to tie the Gabon international down to an extended stay but recognise that they could need to cash in on their star man for around £50m if no new contract is agreed, rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Aubameyang is Arsenal's top scorer with 20 goals this season, while he has netted 61 times in 97 games since joining the club.
