Thursday's EFL Cup predictions including Liverpool vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Thursday's EFL Cup fourth round matches, including Liverpool vs. Arsenal.

Brentford vs. Fulham (Thursday, 5.30pm)

Brentford and Fulham head into their encounter on Thursday evening looking to earn a rare appearance in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

While Brentford have reached this stage of the competition courtesy of wins at Southampton and West Bromwich Albion, Fulham have got the better of Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday.

We say: Brentford 3-1 Fulham

Despite the likelihood of mass changes being made, we expect Brentford's second-string to get the better of their more-proven opponents. Some of the players who feature for Fulham may be moved on before the end of the transfer window, and that may be enough for the Bees to hold the edge in this contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Stoke (Thursday, 7.00pm)

Aston Villa play host to Stoke City in the EFL Cup fourth round looking to extend their winning run in all competitions to five matches.

Meanwhile, Stoke make the short trip to Birmingham on the back of successive 1-0 victories over Gillingham and Preston North End respectively.

We say: Aston Villa 2-1 Stoke City

Although Villa were able to run riot against Bristol City last week, we expect Stoke to put up much stronger resistance. However, the home side are full of confidence right now, and they should have enough quality to edge out their stubborn opponents.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal (Thursday, 7.45pm)

For the second time in four days, Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Thursday night with a place in the fifth round of the EFL Cup up for grabs.

The Premier League champions dominated the top-flight meeting between the two sides on Monday, eventually running out 3-1 winners after falling behind.

We say: Liverpool 3-2 Arsenal

Thursday's match will likely be significantly different to Monday's as both sides make sweeping changes, but one thing this fixture seems to promise regardless of the individuals taking part is goals - the last three League Cup meetings alone have provided 22, at an average of more than seven per game.

It is the highest-scoring fixture in Premier League history and, while it may not quite live up to the 5-5 they played out here last season, we can still see an entertaining clash with Liverpool ending up in the quarter-finals.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.
