Almeria, Malaga play out goalless draw

Almeria and Malaga play out a goalless draw in La Liga.

Almeria and Malaga have drawn 0-0 in La Liga, which moves both sides a further point away from the bottom three.

It was almost the perfect start for the away team as they had the ball in the net after five minutes, but Sergio Ortega was narrowly offside before turning in Duda's free kick.

Then on 15 minutes the hosts had a good chance to score, but Angel Trujillo's header from a Suso cross was brilliantly turned around the post by Willy Caballero.

Ortega then had another brilliant chance on the half-hour mark, but he was just unable to turn in Duda's cross with the goal gaping.

In the second half Nordin Amrabat shot from outside the box, although there was not enough power on the effort to beat Esteban in the home goal.

As the game wore on, it became clear that one goal would win it, but despite a couple of half-chances at either end, neither side did enough to earn the three points and both settled for a 0-0 draw.
