Aaron Evans, one of three winners on The Traitors, opens up on his experience of having ADHD.

The Traitors star Aaron Evans has said that he has been overwhelmed with messages of support following his time on the show.

The 24-year-old - one of three winners of the breakout hit reality series - memorably had a tearful panic attack during one of the early episodes, leading viewers to praise him for showing his vulnerable side.

Evans had previously revealed to his fellow players that he suffers from ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), which can sometimes lead to his behaviour being misconstrued.

Asked if he had received many DMs from viewers, Evans told press: "Yeah, mainly from men.

"It feels so weird because looking back I was just trying to be myself and I would say I'm quite an emotional person and they message me and say, 'This has helped me so much' and 'thank you so much for opening up on national TV'.

"At a point I was like, I wish I wasn't so emotional, but as soon as I got a message saying, 'I'm so glad you did that, it's helped me out so much', I was more than relieved."

The Traitors will return to BBC One for a second series in 2023.
