Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp reveals that he is gay in a video on social media.

Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp has revealed that he is gay in a clip which has gone viral on TikTok.

In the short video, the 18-year-old lip-synchs to a woman's voice as she says: "You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious."

He captioned the video: "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know'."

Schnapp's news comes after scenes featuring his Stranger Things character Will Byers appeared to confirm a long-standing fan theory that he is gay and in love with best friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard).

Referencing the storyline in his coming-out video, Schnapp added: "I guess I'm more similar to Will than I thought."
