The story of Phillip Schofield's relationship with a young production assistant on This Morning is reportedly being turned into a TV drama.
The veteran TV presenter was dropped by ITV earlier this year after he admitted to having lied about his relationship with the young man - aged in his 20s - several years ago.
Now The Sun reports that an anonymous production company is in the early stages of developing a show which would dramatise the affair and the events that followed.
A source told the newspaper: "A production company's started work and they think the series would be a perfect fit for Channel 4.
"The storyline will reflect what went on. People have seen it from the outside but the drama will give a perspective on what may have occurred behind-closed-doors."
Schofield, who has been off the air ever since, issued an unreserved apology to the young man in question, as well as ITV and his former colleagues - including long-time co-host Holly Willoughby - after the revelations became public.
