Lea Michele has admitted that she underwent "an intense time of reflection" after allegations about her behaviour surfaced two years ago.
In June 2020 several former colleagues accused the Glee actress of poor conduct and unprofessional behaviour, including bullying, on set.
Michele issued an apology at the time to those she had "hurt" but has now conceded that she was "blind" to the impact she had on her colleagues.
"I really understand the importance and value now of being a leader," she told The New York Times. "It means not only going and doing a good job when the camera's rolling, but also when it's not. And that wasn't always the most important thing for me."
She added: "I have an edge to me. I work really hard. I leave no room for mistakes. That level of perfectionism, or that pressure of perfectionism, left me with a lot of blind spots."
After taking time out from the industry to have a child, Michele is now returning to the stage as the new lead in Funny Girl.
