ITVX has commissioned a new series called Born From The Same Stranger from the team behind the ever-popular Long Lost Family.
The new show will feature people who were born to a sperm donor and are looking to track down any potential siblings or other family members.
Under a new UK law coming into effect this year, donor anonymity will disappear and anyone born to a donor since 2005 will be able to find out more about their identity once they turn 18.
"For many people born to anonymous donors, finding out the hidden stories of where they come from and who their blood relations are is a deep and long-held desire," said Jo Clinton-Davis, ITV's controller of factual.
"And as this series will show, their stories are moving, astonishing and reveal much about the human condition.
"This first factual format for ITVX... could not be more timely coming at a moment when new laws open up the prospect for many more donor-born people to find out more about their identities."
The four-episode series will be made available as a boxset on ITVX later this year.
