ITV decides to bring back Saturday night hit Starstruck for a second series in 2023.

ITV has reportedly decided to bring back Starstruck for a second series in 2023.

The show - similar in format to Stars In Their Eyes - has performed decently on Saturday nights, averaging over 4 million viewers a week.

According to the Daily Star, ITV hopes to bring back all of the on-screen talent - host Olly Murs and judges Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert, Jason Manford and Beverley Knight - for a second series.

"It was a pretty easy decision. The show has struck a chord with viewers and it's been a big success," a source told the newspaper.

"They would have been mad not to commission another series."

The insider added: "The lineup has worked well, so everyone will be offered a contract for the new series. Execs are hoping they'll all be able to do it."

Filming is expected to take place towards the end of this year for a broadcast in early 2023.
