ITV has reportedly decided not to commission any more editions of All Star Musicals for the time being.
The show sees celebrities take to the stage to put on a one-off performance of a big number from a musical and has aired on ITV every year for the last four years.
John Barrowman has served as host throughout the programme's run so far but The Sun says that ITV has now 'paused' the show, two years on from Barrowman's axe from Dancing On Ice following historic allegations of inappropriate behaviour on set.
"This will obviously be a blow for John, particularly as it was a job he relished keeping after he left Dancing On Ice," a source told the newspaper.
"Barring any announcement of a secret, new TV venture, this represents his last role on a British TV show, which is a far cry from the days when he was on a variety of shows on various channels."
An ITV spokesperson confirmed: "There are no current plans for new All Star Musicals specials at present but we wouldn't rule out further shows in the future."
The news comes after Barrowman was forced to cancel a planned tour of the UK in December due to "slow" ticket sales.
