ITV has announced the names of the six celebrities taking part in this year's edition of All Star Musicals.

The show sees famous faces mentored by world-class musical theatre performers before they take to the stage in front of a live audience to deliver their own show-stopping numbers.

Those confirmed for this year include former This Morning presenter Fern Britton, author Gyles Brandreth, actor Ben Miller, presenter Anita Rani, sports host Radzi Chinyanganya and actress Catherine Tyldesley, while musical numbers will come from shows including Cats, Moana and The Rocky Horror Show.

"I have new respect for musicals," said Miller, star of shows such as Professor T and Primeval. "After weeks of training I am nowhere near ready. In fact, I don't know what I was thinking."

John Barrowman returns as host of the one-off special, which will air on ITV over Christmas.
