Another candidate is given their marching orders by Lord Sugar on The Apprentice.

Navid Sole has become the third candidate to be fired on the new series of The Apprentice.

The 27-year-old - a pharmacist from London - was given his marching orders after a task which saw the teams create their own non-alcoholic drinks brand before attempting to sell it to large drinks retailers.

Nick Showering led his team to victory, securing an order of 10,675 units for their gin-and-tonic inspired drink, while bar boss Sophie Wilding's team were only able to sell 2,502 units of their spiced low-alcohol beer.

In the boardroom, Sophie chose to bring back Navid and Akshay Thakrar - accusing Navid of not contributing much during the task.

"I did give my ideas and my input," he countered. "We were all helping to make up the mixture. So don't tell me that I haven't contributed. I have - it is not the truth."

Lord Sugar was not to be convinced, however, telling Navid: "Three weeks and three times you've been accused of doing nothing - you're fired."

Earlier in the episode, Shama Amin announced that she was pulling out of the process due to health reasons.
