Katie Price is reportedly interviewed by police again amid an investigation into her alleged assault in the early hours of Monday morning.

Katie Price was reportedly interviewed by police again today following the alleged assault against her in the early hours of Monday morning.

The 43-year-old businesswoman was hospitalised for injuries to her jaw and eye after an incident at her home in Essex, which led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of "assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour".

The man in his 30s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has now been released on bail until September 20 and according to The Sun, Price has been told that there will now be a "lengthy investigation" into what happened.

A source told the newspaper, which has followed the story closely: "Katie wants to thank Sun readers for all their support.

"She is aware there will be a lengthy investigation and has been overwhelmed by everyone who has taken time out of their day to send her a nice message. It's really appreciated."

Price is believed to be staying with friends as she deals with the fallout of the incident.
