Zac Efron to star in remake of Three Men and a Baby

Zac Efron signs up to appear in a remake of the classic '80s comedy Three Men and a Baby for Disney+.

Disney+ has ordered a remake of classic comedy movie Three Men and a Baby with Zac Efron in one of the lead roles.

The original film was released in 1987 and starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson as three bachelor flatmates who suddenly find themselves in charge of a baby girl.

The movie was a box-office hit, bringing in $240 million on a budget of just $11 million, and spawned a 1990 sequel Three Men and a Little Lady.

Efron, who made his name on Disney's High School Musical movies, will play one of the leads in the new film, although other casting details have yet to be confirmed.

The film is expected to be made available on the streaming service some time in early 2021.
