Tenet to be released on DVD, Blu-ray next month

Christopher Nolan sci-fi epic Tenet is to be released via home entertainment next month just ahead of Christmas.

Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic Tenet will be released via home media next month, it has been announced.

The film is the primary big-budget movie to have been released during the coronavirus pandemic and has pulled in $350 million (£267 million) at the worldwide box office since its release in August - less than half its projected earnings before COVID-19 struck.

With most of Europe now re-entering lockdown and the US breaking records for the daily number of coronavirus infections, the decision has been taken to bring forward the home entertainment release of Tenet to before Christmas.

In the US, it will come out on December 15, with a DVD costing $28.98 (£22.09), Blu-ray costing $35.99 (£27.43) and an extended 4K Ultra-High-Definition combo pack costing $44.95 (£34.26).

A UK release has yet to be officially confirmed - with no pre-orders yet available through the likes of Amazon or the Sky Store - although previous reports have suggested that it may become available on December 14.
