Geordie Shore filming 'delayed until June'

MTV reportedly delays filming of the new series of Geordie Shore in Colombia by four months.

The 10th anniversary series of Geordie Shore has reportedly been delayed by four months due to coronavirus.

The long-running MTV reality show is relocating from the Toon to Colombia to mark the milestone birthday, with a host of present and former cast members taking part.

The decision to switch production to South America was in most part due to their relatively-relaxed coronavirus rules, meaning that the cast could still enjoy wild nights out, but according to The Sun, the decision has now been taken to delay flying out until May ahead of filming starting in June.

"It's total chaos - plane tickets had been booked, the cast had blocked out time in their schedule - but it's all been pushed back to summer now," a source told the newspaper.

"They're scrambling to make things work - it's all tricky to book everyone back in for May."

MTV's other big reality show, Ex On The Beach, was also due to be filmed in Colombia this month but that too is said to have been delayed until the summer.
