Gemma Collins: 'I ate a whole tiger loaf with butter to cheer myself up'

Reality star Gemma Collins admits turning to comfort eating as the UK entered coronavirus lockdown earlier this year.

Gemma Collins has admitted to gaining 4lbs at the start of the coronavirus lockdown after indulging in tiger bread loaves with butter.

The 39-year-old turned to comfort eating as the UK entered lockdown and she dealt with the breakup of her relationship with former TOWIE co-star James Argent.

Since then The GC has lost more than three stone in weight through a combination of exercise and controversial 'skinny jabs' - and is now looking to lose a further two to three stone.

"I went through a whole tiger loaf bread with butter to cheer myself up," she told The Sun. "Everyone in lockdown turned to food and I certainly did in the first few weeks.

"I probably gained about four pounds, it was nothing major but I have certainly taken it off since then and I've lost about three stone in weight.

"It's been a great amount of weight to lose but I've still got a bit of a way to go if I'm being honest. I still want to lose another two or three stone."

The new series of The GC's reality show Gemma Collins: Diva Forever and Ever begins on ITVBe tomorrow night.
