Sam Ryder drops a music video for his new Christmas single for mystery reasons.

Sam Ryder has been forced to drop the music video for his new single for mystery reasons.

The singer - Eurovision runner-up in 2022 - has released his own Christmas song, 'You're Christmas To Me', exclusively through Amazon Music and is a surprise contender for the festive No.1.

The music video for the song featured Ryder dressing up as Wizzard's Roy Wood but was suddenly axed at the eleventh hour.

"We ain't said anything, I can't confirm or deny," he told The Sun. "All I can say is, no-one will ever see it, because of reasons beyond our control.

"But there is another video coming that we had to do very last minute.

"It's a damage-control video. I made it in about eight hours. But the original, I can't confirm it even exists."

'You're Christmas To Me' rose to 10th place in the chart on Friday, with Wham! classic 'Last Christmas' holding the top spot.
