Sixth Scream film will be more "aggressive and violent"

Sixth Scream film will be more
Scream star Jenna Ortega says that the sixth film will feature "the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we've ever seen".

Scream star Jenna Ortega has revealed that the upcoming sixth movie will be the franchise's most gory yet.

After making her debut as Tara Carpenter - daughter of original Scream killer Billy Loomis - in the fifth film earlier this year, Ortega is among the contingent returning for the next instalment, which begins filming later this week.

Discussing the movie, she told Entertainment Tonight this week: "Ghostface gets a lot more intimidating.

"I just read part of the script, and it just gets more and more gory. I think that this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we've ever seen, which I think will really be fun to shoot."

Earlier this week it was confirmed that franchise stalwart Neve Campbell will not be returning as Sidney Prescott due to a pay dispute.

The as-yet untitled sixth film is due for release on March 31, 2023.
