Jason Momoa 'tests positive for coronavirus on Aquaman 2 set'
Jason Momoa reportedly tests positive for coronavirus while filming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in the UK.

Jason Momoa has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus while filming the sequel to Aquaman.

The 42-year-old plays the eponymous superhero in the franchise - part of the DC Extended Universe of movies - and reprises his role following the surprise box office success of the first film in 2018.

Filming has been taking place in various locations around the UK since the end of June, but according to The Sun, producers have been forced to change their filming schedule after Momoa caught COVID-19.

"Jason is fine luckily and is now isolating after getting a positive test," a source told the newspaper.

"But it's a real headache for the film's bosses, who are now worrying about having to delay their tight filming schedule.

"Of course the safety of everyone working on the film is the most important thing and everyone is tested regularly.

"They are hoping this is a one-off and that they can work around Jason and continue filming on the production.

"Everyone is wishing him a speedy recovery and they're looking forward to having him back on set."

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is due for release on December 16, 2022.
