E4 announces that season six of Married At First Sight Australia will air early next year.

E4 has announced plans to broadcast the sixth season of Married At First Sight Australia early next year.

The channel had great success with the fourth and fifth seasons of the unconventional dating show during lockdown this year, with audiences of up to 1 million tuning in across its run.

Now E4 will broadcast season six - first shown down under in 2019 - starting on Monday, January 4 and it will be stripped weekday nights in a 7.30pm slot for nine weeks.

Following the success of the Australian show on British screens, Channel 4 has announced that the UK version will adopt the Aussie format when it returns for a new instalment in 2021.

E4 also has the seventh season of the Australian show on the shelf for future transmission.
