Prue Leith is to link up with Paul Hollywood to judge the new season of The Great American Baking Show.

Prue Leith will join Paul Hollywood as a judge on the US version of The Great British Bake Off for its next season.

The Great American Baking Show follows the same format as the UK original and since 2017 has featured Paul Hollywood as a judge alongside American chef Sherry Yard.

According to The Mirror, Leith, 82, has now been convinced to join Hollywood as a replacement for Yard on the next six-episode season, plus a celebrity special.

The US show is filmed in the UK in the same iconic tent, although it has been off the air since January 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Great American Baking Show has aired on ABC since it began but will move to Roku for the new season, which is due to be released later this year.
