Lord Sugar accuses Piers Morgan of going "mad" in fiery tweets

Lord Sugar hits back at Piers Morgan in a series of angry tweets, accusing the Good Morning Britain host of 'going mad'.

Lord Sugar has responded to attacks from Piers Morgan by accusing the Good Morning Britain host of 'going mad'.

Morgan announced earlier that he was "done" with his friendship with Sugar after The Apprentice host questioned why Morgan was upset with people sunbathing in parks.

The pugnacious presenter declared that Sugar's "reckless, shameful stupidity will kill people", while in other tweets he suggested that the billionaire should be using some of his wealth to help fund the NHS through the coronavirus crisis.

Responding to the criticism in a series of angry tweets, Sugar wrote: "TWISTING OF FACTS BY MORGAN TABLOID STYLE STILL WITH HIM. SHEESH GIVEN 1000's OF FREE MEALS TO NHS WORKER TROPIC TO GIVE FREE SANITISER TO NHS WORKERS

"HE HAS MADE ME A MURDERER NOW. HAS HE GONE MAD OR WHAT."

More than 1.25 million people have now tested positive for COVID-19 worldwide, while over 68,000 have lost their lives.
