Ellie Warner and her sister Izzi will reportedly not return to Gogglebox this series while her boyfriend Nat Eddleston remains in hospital.
Eddleston was admitted to intensive care on March 18 after being hurt in a hit-and-run incident in Leeds.
The 31-year-old was initially placed on life support as the incident left him with two collapsed lungs and a broken back, although he is now thought to be off life support in a stable but still-serious condition.
"Ellie's focus, 100%, is on Nat and supporting him in his recovery," a source told The Sun.
"She's been told to take as much time off as she needs and it is very unlikely she will be returning during the current series.
"Producers have told her to take as long as she needs."
The source added: "She's been keeping vigil at hospital. Nat is Ellie's world and everyone is willing him to pull through and come out the other side."
The current series of Gogglebox is expected to continue until at least next month.
