Dame Maureen Lipman has revealed that she will not be returning for the next series of Celebrity Gogglebox.

The 75-year-old Coronation Street star has appeared on the Channel 4 show alongside good friend Gyles Brandreth for the last two series, commenting on programmes including Naked Attraction.

Asked if she would be back in future, however, she told Loose Women: "I've seen all the male tackle I need to see for this lifetime to be honest.

"We had such a good time but none of the clever things we said went into it. So no."

Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 in early 2022.
