The pair suss each other out for a while and when he finally speaks, Caleb says he was surprised to learn that their mother Faith died recently as Cain had told him that she had died 30 years ago. Cain orders his brother to keep his distance from his family.

Feeling sad and alone, Chas finds Paddy and Eve with Marlon's family full of festive joy. She and Paddy continue their ceasefire for Eve's sake but the atmosphere becomes too awkward and she leaves to go visit her daughter's grave. A stranger approaches her and delivers some shock news just as Faith's firework takes off.
