The BBC has released a new trailer setting the scene ahead of next month's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

Narrated by Drag Race star The Vivienne, the advert features cameos from Nigella Lawson, Graham Norton and Rylan Clark and encourages people around the UK to organise their own Eurovision watch parties.

"We couldn't be more proud and excited to give our audiences such a huge array of world class Eurovision content," said Kate Phillips, the BBC's director of unscripted.

"It's an honour for the BBC to host the show on behalf of Ukraine, and we're committed to do them proud.

"The level of collaboration and coordination across so much of the output is truly amazing. Let the Eurovision Song Contest begin!"

This year's Eurovision semi-finals take place on May 9 and May 11 - both broadcast on BBC One for the first time - with the grand final following on May 13.
