Sudden Lights have won Supernova 2023 and will represent Latvia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.
The four-piece indie rockers have been together since 2012 and previously took part in national selection contest Supernova five years ago without success.
On Saturday night, the band triumphed in this year's final with their song 'Aija', which topped both the jury vote and the public televote.
The group wrote on Instagram afterwards: "We did it! "Aijā" will be played on the big Eurovision stage!🤩
"Thank you so much for your support! Thanks to everyone who gave their vote, sent letters and just believed! We felt it and we still feel it! ❤️🔥
"THANKS to the amazing team without whose support and passion this dream would not be possible! 🙌🫶
"Everything is still ahead! Liverpool, we are ready!"
Latvia have been drawn to take part in the first semi-final in Liverpool on May 9.
