Dee-Dee finds a receipt of Joel's, dated December and for a lot of money on jewellery, but he makes out he was just buying himself some new cufflinks. Later, Alya spots Joel being driven away by a woman with a sullen expression.

Liam admits to Dr Gaddas that things had got so bad for him that he wanted to end things. Dr Gaddas tells Maria that she's referring him to a mental health unit but the waiting list is long, so she'll have to keep a close eye on him. Meanwhile, Gary sees red when Mason shouts to him that Liam needs to watch his back, throwing the youngster to the ground. Sean intervenes and threatens to report Gary to the police.

Sean can barely look at Dylan as George, Eileen and Mary fuss over him on his birthday. Dylan's devastated when he opens his gift from his dad to find an engraved watch.

Tracy invites Tommy over while Steve is on an airport run and the pair get down to business. Meanwhile Tim helps Gav out cleaning the windows and gets a right eyeful when he peaks into Tracy's bedroom, leaving her screaming. She rushes down and convinces them that her and Steve were enjoying some lunchtime fun and asks them to keep it to themselves, but Tim tells Sally anyway. Later, Sally grows suspicious when Steve mentions to her that he spent all day stuck in his car.

Bobby's shocked to find out that Roy sacked Lauren from the cafe. He calls round to see her and finds the door unlocked but with no sign of her. Bobby shares his concerns with Max.
