Sky commissions a four-part documentary going behind the scenes with Burnley on their memorable 2022-23 season.

Sky will broadcast a documentary series following Burnley's 2022-23 season, which is ending with them as champions of the Championship.

Cameras have been rolling at Turf Moor all season, capturing all of the action behind the scenes as the club - under the guidance of manager Vincent Kompany - made light work of their return to the second tier, having been relegated from the Premier League at the end of 2021-22.

Called Mission To Burnley, the four-part series will have "unprecedented" access to the boardroom, including American owners ALK Partners and chairman Alan Pace, as well as the dressing room and Kompany's training sessions.

"It's been a truly unforgettable year, full of stratospheric highs, some daunting lows and everything in between," said Pace. "I'm delighted.. Sky have been there to capture this incredible journey, in all its emotion, depth and passion.

"At its heart it's a story of family, faith, friendship, and of course football, set during an amazing time, in a great town, and of course led by a very special manager in Vincent Kompany."

Zai Bennett, Sky's MD of content, added: "Burnley FC's story over the last 12 months has been incredible. From one the biggest lows in club football, to one of the greatest highs, we've been privileged to follow the club throughout.

"With lead characters Alan Pace and Vincent Kompany, we can't wait to bring our audiences this remarkable story from the inside."

Mission To Burnley will air on the Sky Documentaries channel and NOW in September.
