Sky Sports signs four year-deal for Indian Premier League
Sky Sports replaces DAZN as the British broadcaster of the Indian Premier League and Women's Premier League in a four-year deal.

Sky Sports has signed a new deal to take over as rights holder of the Indian Premier League and Women's Premier League cricket in the UK and Ireland.

DAZN initially signed a five-year deal for the men's competition last year but has now been usurped by Sky ahead of this year's IPL beginning on Friday.

Sky had already held the rights to the women's league, which concluded last weekend, and now has the rights to both competitions until the end of the 2027 season.

Sky Sports MD Jonathan Licht said: "The IPL and WPL are two fantastic competitions that see the world's best players compete in front of a fanatical local audience - resulting in some of the most explosive and entertaining cricket in the calendar as we saw with the conclusion of the WPL on Sunday.

"We're excited to bring these great live events to life on Sky Sports, adding to the already unrivalled cricket line up this year and giving fans access to more of the sport and players that they love."

Coverage of all 74 IPL matches begins this Friday with Chenna Super Kings beginning their title defence against Royal Challengers Bangalore, live from 2.20pm on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event.
