Comcast is reportedly exploring options for the sale of Sky Deutschland as part of a streamlining of its European operations.
The US broadcaster acquired Sky, which operates in the UK, Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland, in 2018 in a $39 billion deal.
The UK operation of Sky continues to deliver strong revenue and a healthy customer base, but the German and Italian counterparts have slowed in recent years, in part due to major sporting rights being poached by DAZN.
According to Bloomberg, Comcast is working with an advisor to "look at options" for Sky Deutschland, a process which could conclude with Comcast deciding not to sell after all.
Industry estimates suggest that Sky Deutschland could be worth around €1 billion (£860m).
