Rebekah Vardy reportedly becomes ITV's top target for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Rebekah Vardy has reportedly emerged as the top target for ITV for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Earlier this week the broadcaster confirmed that the show will be returning to UK screens in early 2024 following the successful revival of the civilian series, with producers already at work on the casting.

Vardy, 41 - wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy - is known for her recent involvement in the so-called Wagatha Christie feud with fellow WAG Coleen Rooney, while she has reality TV experience in the form of stints on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and Dancing On Ice.

"Rebekah is the show's No1 target, there's no getting away from it," a source told The Sun.

"Bosses know she'll be perfect fodder for the show and that she won't hold back on saying what she thinks. They also hope she won't be slow coming forward on saying how she feels about Coleen and husband Wayne."

The new series is expected to start on ITV in March.
