Lauren Harries is placed into an induced coma after suffering a seizure, just weeks on from major brain surgery.

Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Harries is seriously ill in hospital after suffering a seizure.

The 45-year-old - a former child star - had brain surgery in April for a mystery condition that was causing her to black out, and just last week she had her bandages removed and began physiotherapy sessions.

According to her mother Katy, who has been keeping fans updated on Lauren's Twitter account, her condition took a sudden turn on Sunday night and she is now in a coma.

She wrote: "Last night Lauren had a seizure and doctors have had to put her into an induced coma to get it under control.

"Lauren needs all your support and wishes, she loves you all."

Harries appeared in the summer 2013 edition of Celebrity Big Brother alongside the likes of Ron Atkinson, the late Dustin Diamond and Charlotte Crosby, eventually finishing in third place.
