Sky News to launch pop-up channel for climate change conference
Sky News is to launch a dedicated TV channel providing coverage of the COP26 summit in Glasgow.

Sky News will launch a pop-up TV channel next week to cover the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow.

The conference, hosted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, will bring together the world's top leaders over the course of almost two weeks to negotiate new strategies on dealing with global warming and related issues.

Sky News has been a champion of climate concerns for some time and airs the world's first regular news programme on the topic, The Daily Climate Show, as a part of its weekday schedule.

From November 1 to 12, the dedicated channel - Sky News Climate Live - will offer complete coverage of the summit, including live sessions, interviews and additional analysis.

The coverage will come direct from a bespoke studio in Glasgow, with Anna Jones and Sam Washington serving as the channel's main anchors.

The station is expected to be available through the Sky EPG, the Sky News website and the Sky News app.
