TV presenter Angela Scanlon is supposedly poised to join the lineup for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The One Show presenter Angela Scanlon is reportedly on the verge of signing up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The 39-year-old, who hails from Ireland, is also known for BBC Two's Your House Made Perfect and is supposedly poised to join the likes of actor Adam Thomas and '80s pop star Shakin' Stevens on the BBC ballroom contest.

"It is hard to get the mix right for Strictly every year but producers think that Angela is perfect for it," a source told The Sun.

"She is really popular with the BBC's viewers but unlike so many celebrities she doesn't have a dancing background so Strictly fans will be able to go on a really enjoyable journey with her.

"Every year the producers like to have a glamorous yet wholesome TV presenter as the fans love them."

The new series is due to begin on BBC One in September.
