BBC to order full series of Katie Price documentary?

The BBC is reportedly holding talks with Katie Price about a full follow-up series as her son Harvey Price moves into college care.

The BBC is reportedly in talks with Katie Price about commissioning a full series following her son Harvey Price as he makes the move into a college care setting later this year.

The 18-year-old is severely disabled with multiple conditions including autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome - the latter of which has caused his weight to swell to almost 29 stone.

The challenges involved in caring for Harvey, as well as the plight to find him a residence able to cope with his specialist needs, were documented in the one-off BBC One piece Katie Price: Harvey and Me last week.

The programme received a warm reception from viewers and also attracted an audience of 4.2 million and according to The Sun, the BBC is now keen to order a multi-episode follow-up.

"Katie and Harvey's documentary was not only insightful and powerful, but it showed how popular their journey has become," a source told the newspaper.

"After seeing the reception for the documentary the team behind it are now looking at the logistics of making a follow-up happen.

"Everything depends on Katie and Harvey however and whether they would be open to showing his next steps.

"The reaction to the documentary was outstanding and it's being viewed as a huge success."

Katie Price: Harvey and Me is available to watch on iPlayer.
