Caroline Flack's fortune to be given to charity

Proceeds from the estate of the late Love Island presenter Caroline Flack will reportedly go to charities that she cared about.

The proceeds from the estate of late TV presenter Caroline Flack will reportedly be given to charities that were close to her heart.

The 40-year-old Love Island host took her own life in February while awaiting trial for an alleged assault of her boyfriend - claims that both of them had strongly denied.

According to The Sun, Flack died without having written a will, meaning that her assets were shared equally between her parents.

The total value of her assets was put at more than £2 million, although the figure shrunk significantly to £827,961 once her debts were settled and government taxes were taken off.

Flack's mother Christine told the newspaper: "We will use the money wisely to help good causes that Caroline was passionate about."

Friends and family of the star are planning a two-day hike in the Lake District next February to raise money for the Samaritans.
