Jurassic World Dominion pulls in £320m at global box office
Jurassic World Dominion heads towards an impressive $400m at the global box office after opening in multiple international markets over the weekend.

The latest instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World Dominion, has secured an impressive $389m (£320m) at the worldwide box office in the days following its release.

The sixth film in the series unites the stars of the original trilogy - Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum - with Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt of the ensuing World trilogy in a story where dinosaurs are co-existing with humans.

The movie has already grossed $143m (£117m) in the US, where it opened on June 10, and has added a further $245m (£201m) from overseas after opening in 57 international markets over the last week.

In China it managed receipts of $53m (£44m), while in the UK it racked up £12.7m, in France it posted £8m and in Australia £7m.

Elsewhere, Tom Cruise sequel Top Gun: Maverick soared to $747m (£614m) at the global box office in its third week of release, including an impressive gross of $63m (£52m) from the UK market to date.
