Diane Carson, a fan favourite on The Traitors, reportedly signs up for Celebrity MasterChef.

Diane Carson - a fan favourite on the second series of The Traitors - has reportedly signed up for this year's Celebrity MasterChef.

The 63-year-old competed as a Faithful on the hit BBC reality show, concealing the secret that her son, Ross Carson, was also taking part in the process.

During one memorable scene, Ross joked to his fellow contestants that his mother's roast dinners were awful, leading to raised eyebrows from Diane, but The Sun says that she will now get the chance to show off the strength of her cooking skills on Celeb MasterChef.

A source told the newspaper: "Diane was one of the most popular people to take part in the show.

"Traitors fans will be delighted she's making an appearance in another BBC primetime show, and will get the chance to prove she's not the kitchen disaster her son claims she is."

Other names in the frame include ex-EastEnders star Danielle Harold, Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby, H from Steps, presenter Edith Bowman and Gladiators' Nitro, real name Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

The show is due to be filmed in the coming weeks for broadcast this summer.
