Made In Chelsea's Sam Thompson in no rush "to tie things down"

Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson says that he has no immediate plans to propose to girlfriend Zara McDermott.

Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson has admitted that he is in no rush to get married to girlfriend and co-star Zara McDermott due to their age.

The couple have now been together for more than a year and McDermott, 23, moved in with Thompson, 28, in London a few months ago at the start of the coronavirus lockdown.

Last month the reality star signalled that he would be proposing before 2020 is out but now he has dialled back on that timeframe in an interview with the Daily Mail.

"A lot of people, especially in this industry, they meet each other and then it's marriage after a year. I just don't believe in that," he said.

"We're so young still, especially Zara - she's 23. There's so much life to live. I don't mean shagging around or anything like that, I mean to follow what you love and not have any restrictions around you.

"I'm very wary of Zara's age but also mine as well and not wanting to tie things down. We've got the rest of our lives to be boring and sit at home and be husband and wife."

Made In Chelsea is due to return to E4 for four new episodes next month.
