Chernobyl picks up 14 nominations at the BAFTA TV Awards, while EastEnders is left out of the 'Best Soap and Continuing Drama' category.

Chernobyl has picked up an impressive 14 nominations at this year's BAFTA TV and BAFTA Craft Awards.

The Sky Atlantic drama, about the devastating nuclear accident in 1986, receives nods in the 'Best Actor' category for Jared Harris, as well as in the 'Best Supporting Actor' category for Stellan Skarsgard.

A notable snub sees EastEnders left out of the 'Best Soap and Continuing Drama' category in its 35th anniversary year, with Hollyoaks also missing the cut.

Killing Eve's Jodie Comer is up for 'Best Actress', alongside Glenda Jackson for her role in Elizabeth Is Missing and Gentleman Jack's Suranne Jones.

Acclaimed comedy Fleabag has two contenders in the 'Best Comedy Actress' category, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge facing off against co-star Sian Clifford.

Shows such as The Rap Game UK and The Greatest Dancer are picked ahead of Britain's Got Talent in the 'Best Entertainment Programme' category, while Race Across The World and RuPaul's Drag Race UK are nominated for 'Best Reality and Constructed Factual'.

Elsewhere, Prince Andrew's car-crash Newsnight interview earns the programme a nod for 'Best News Coverage' alongside Sky News's frontline coverage of the Hong Kong protests.

The winners of this year's awards will be revealed in a "virtual" ceremony on BBC One on Friday, July 31.
