ITV brings forward Dancing On Ice final after multiple dropouts

ITV announces that it has decided to bring forward the finale of Dancing On Ice by a week after five celebrities were forced to withdraw from the show.

ITV has announced that it has brought forward the final episode of Dancing On Ice following a string of dropouts from the lineup.

The current series has suffered problem after problem, with five celebrities from the original lineup having being forced to pull out of the show due to either injury or coronavirus.

As a result just five couples remain, prompting ITV to bring forward the finale to Sunday, March 14.

The news means that, including an impromptu one-week break last week, the current series has been shortened to eight episodes from its initial run of 10.

A statement from the broadcaster said: "ITV have taken the decision to move the final of Dancing on Ice forward by one week. The competition's final will now take place on Sunday 14th March.

"Our production team and cast have delivered a fantastic show during incredibly challenging times. Continuing to make the best TV for our viewers is our top priority and we look forward to the rest of the series."

Dancing On Ice continues this Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
