The Queen is said to be a "devoted fan" of the BBC's ratings blockbuster Line of Duty.

The corrupt cop drama, which stars Adrian Dunbar, Martin Compston and Vicky McClure, wrapped up its sixth series at the start of May with a mammoth 16.4 million viewers.

According to The Sunday Times, The Queen became hooked on the show during the coronavirus lockdown and enjoyed chatting about plot twists with the master of her household at Windsor Castle, Vice-Admiral Sir Tony Johnstone-Burt.

A source told the newspaper: "The Queen was very into Line of Duty and enjoyed discussing the plotlines with Tony."

Other shows known to be favourites of The Queen include The X Factor, Downton Abbey and Dad's Army.
